Catherine E. Boyle

Catherine Boyle is the founder and president of Luminar Consulting, Inc. She is an American-born coach and facilitator who has worked with great success in leadership development in the US, Europe and Asia since 2001. Her clients range from Fortune 500 multinationals to international and local non-profit organizations.

Several of Catherine’s key successes to date include facilitating cross-functional leadership initiatives for one of the world’s top shipping companies; a long-term facilitation and coaching relationship with a leading management consultancy; an on-going coaching and facilitation relationship with a top European media firm; building successful coaching relationships with professionals from more than 30 countries; and building alliances with consultancies in Europe, Asia, South America and the US.

Currently, Catherine consults with clients to facilitate programs combining her knowledge of executive-level education, coaching and consulting, with client needs, which result in increased productivity in positive work environments. She focuses on sustainable leadership skill building.  Her topics of interest include, creating and managing effective teams, managing conflict, improving communication skills, effective influencing, and addressing organizational change and growth. Her executive coaching emphasizes personal fulfillment for leaders, work-life balance, 360 degree management, and infusing workplaces with best practices in gender, minority, and cultural integration. Her specialty is working with high performing executives who wish to inspire themselves, their clients and their teams.

In addition to her years of international experience, Catherine also draws on her academic background in communications and her technology-related work with the NASDAQ and Pacific Stock Exchange. She has studied leadership, improvisation and creativity skill building with Corporate Scenes and Second City; is a certified mediator with Braided River Mediation Center; is a certified Sun Coach (an ICF accredited coach training and certification program); is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is qualified with Myers Briggs step 1 & 2 instruments, and is experienced in a number of 360 degree feedback tools.  She is currently pursuing a certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Catherine has lived on both coasts of the U.S. She currently enjoys living in Colorado, and takes advantage of all the region has to offer. In her spare time she is an avid skier, runner and mountain biker.  Other interests include international travel, experimenting with new languages, museums, reading, cooking, and music.

Charities she supports and volunteers with include the local Habitat for Humanity, La Plata County Humane Society, Operation Healthy Communities, Braided River Mediation Center, KSUT Public Radio, Dr.’s Without Borders, and Heifer International, and Angkor Hospital for Children, Cambodia.

Ken Brown

Ken Brown is a senior consultant with experience and expertise in the areas of leader development, succession planning,  and executive coaching. He has been helping organizations develop their leaders and individual executives to increase their effectiveness for 17 years.

Previously, Ken was a management consultant with the FMI Corporation. He served as Engagement Manager, Engagement Director and then as Practice Leader for Succession Planning in FMI’s Leader Development Group and lead faculty for the Leadership Institute.

Ken began his career in consulting with Lore International Institute in 1993 helping fortune 100 companies globally develop leadership, interpersonal, and business development skills.

Before consulting, Ken owned and lead organizations in the printing, publishing and finance industries.

Ken is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® qualified and is certified in using the Highlands Ability Battery, the Vision View™ leadership 360 assessment, and Korn Ferry’s Voices 360 assessment. He has conducted professional development workshops in leadership, interpersonal skills, coaching, meeting facilitation, sales, strategic account management, and proposal writing in the United States, Europe and Asia.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from New Mexico State University. Ken resides in Poulsbo, Wash., in the US and in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada
